Brazilian Youth Exchange Students Tour Cosmosphere

District 5690's three Rotary Youth Exchange students from Brazil met in Hutchinson on March 18 for a behindthe- scenes tour of the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. Accompanied by a small group of Hutchinson Rotarians, the trio was granted special access to the space museum's private collections, including items that had flown in space such as space suits, tools and other artifacts.
The curiously-designed solid waste collection bags elicited the most questions.
After touring the private collections area and the public Hall of Space, the group experienced an IMAX film before gathering for dinner. With three Brazilian teenage girls at the table, the conversation was punctuated by lots of laughter and occasional outbursts in Portuguese.
The waiter and those dining at nearby tables were intrigued and amused.

Short-term exchange student Mayara Salha is living in Hutchinson and returns to Brazil March 26. Gabriella Lages de Carvalho lives in Greensburg and Amanda Aires lives in Ulysses; each will return to Brazil after completing a full school year.

Olá a todos
Eu sou Luciana, meu nome em chinês é Lin Yiting. Eu sou brasileira.
Eu vivo em Taiwan há seis meses, eu amo Taiwan, mas no começo foi muito difícil para mim,
Esta é minha primeira vez fora de casa e sinto falta da família e amigos no Brasil,
Eu acho que as pessoas aqui, e as coisas, a cultura é tudo muito diferente. Esta mudança vai me fazer crescer.
Tem um monte de coisas que devo fazer sozinha.
Agora estou vivendo em uma terceira família, sou muito afortunada, porque nesta família são todos muito bons para mim...
Meu clube anfitrião é o Rotary Club do Rio Tahan e eles tem cuidado bastante de mim.
Quero compartilhar duas coisas em particular:
A primeira coisa na tarde de Natal, que tive o cuidado do doce para o hospital com as bênçãos dos idosos e crianças.
A segunda coisa, duas semanas atrás, fui à Expo como voluntário para acompanhar a dificuldade de locomoção de pessoas passeando na Expo,
Acho que isso é muito significativo. Obrigado Rotary me deu essas oportunidades, eu tenho uma experiência de vida diferente.
Obrigado, eu amo Taiwan.

大家好


我是Luciana，我的中文名字是林宜婷。我是巴西人。

我住在台灣六個月，我很喜歡台灣，可是一開始對我來說很困難，

這是我第一次離開家裡自己生活，我非常想念在巴西的家人及朋友，

我覺得在這裡的人、事、物、文化都非常不一樣。這樣的改變會讓我成長，

很多事情我都必須自己做。

我現在住在第三個家庭，我非常幸運，因為這三個家庭的家人都對我非常好，

我的接待社---大漢溪扶輪社都相當照顧我。

我要分享２件特別的事。

第一件事，在聖誕節下午，我們帶著糖果跟祝福去醫院關懷老人及小孩。

第二件事，在２個星期前，我去花博當志工，陪伴行動不方便的人一起逛花博，

我覺得這個是很有意義的。謝謝扶輪社給我這些機會，讓我有不同的人生體驗。

謝謝你們，我愛台灣。
